Well, we agreed to take a gentle approach towards your fitness goals initially. For starters, your belly is the area where fat likes to feel at home. And that little belly not only weighs on your OOTD (clothes of the day, duh), but it also brings annoying health issues.
We hate to tell you that it’s not possible to treat extra fat. However, we do have a core-focused exercise that will burn belly fat faster. If you dream of having a toned and stretched belly, let’s get started!
Yoga expert and fitness trainer Juhi Kapoor, who has the ‘yogini world’ as her Instagram nickname, has revealed another fitness card from her deck. Well, she shared a video of herself doing the hollow fold extensions. Kapoor demonstrates the exercise that can give you a sculpted core overtime.
Calling them one of the simplest and most effective belly toning exercises, she captioned the video: “This exercise is helpful in diastasis recti and postpartum abdominal fat. It will strengthen the core and increase stamina too!”
Here is a step by step guide to exercise to burn belly fat:
- Lie down on a yoga mat
- Bend your knees into your chest.
- Extend your legs at 30 to 45 degrees.
- Keep your palms on the floor in addition to your body
- Do 30 repetitions of the same.
- Always do this exercise on an empty stomach.
Listing the side dishes for this workout, Kapoor wrote: “While losing belly fat has a lot to do with overall body weight loss, it’s important to eat the right kind of food and follow healthy lifestyle practices. However, the right kind of belly exercises can help you strengthen the muscles around your core area and shed fat in that area.”
In addition, she wrote, “Never deny the importance of portion control, balanced meals, and complete strength training in your daily routine. As part of your strength training workouts, be sure to include at least 30-50 of these extensions.”

Along with the workout, Kapoor listed a word of caution not to forget before entering it.
Here are the circumstances in which you should avoid doing hollow tuck extensions for belly fat reduction
- Avoid when you are menstruating.
- Do not do this during pregnancy.
- Not recommended in case of surgery or abdominal injuries.
- Elevated BP and cardiac patients need to practice with caution.
- In case of cesarean delivery, practice only after 6 months or with medical authorization.
Remember, fat loss is always a general phenomenon and whether you will lose or gain weight exactly in your body is a genetic pattern. So don’t worry if this doesn’t work for you!
